Consumer Unit installed in bathroom, no cover.
Cables too short, reverse polarity and high resistance connections
This is the same Consumer Unit as above pictures and was installed not so long ago.
As usual, no certificate left and installer has dissappeared!
MAIN CPC IS JUST TIED AND TAPED!
Customer can smell burning after replacing the broken lamps in bathroom:
Existing Electrician installed the GU10 downlights too near the ceiling joist and totally covered in fibreglass.
After a few weeks, they contacted us to rectify the problem.
Local handyman changed this 45a shower pullswitch last year, all the connections were loose!
This could have been alot worse if the problem was not rectified!
Loose terminations = High resistance and burning and overheating of the cable.
Extremely Lucky!
This could have been so much worse!
